Existing for over 23 years, our journey began in 1997 in a little log cabin, with just 10 kids. We have since grown in leaps and bounds and are now a leading early childhood development institute within the Benoni area, having earned a reputation of being one of the most sought-after primary and pre-primary schools.
The continued support of our parents have allowed us to embark on our expansion plan and have thus opened the Whizzkidz Academy Primary School division as of January 2017. Our first class of Grade 1 had quickly grown into successive grades that has now evolved into a Grade 1 to Grade 7 offering.
We are a registered school that is committed to delivering an excellent standard of education and our teaching methods have strategically been developed with the future of young students in mind. We love creating unique experiences where students not only learn, but can apply their skills in the real world.

At Whizzkidz Academy, our premises are proudly small which creates an intimate environment enabling our team to produce leaders within your children. Our aim at Whizzkidz Academy is to nurture and guide our learners towards developing a positive and independent attitude towards learning, by creating a relaxed atmosphere fostering intellectual curiosity in each child. In this way we hope to instil in each learner the self-belief and confidence to embrace formal education. We are committed to providing a high-quality learning environment where children can achieve their full potential. A great deal of emphasis is placed on motivating and encouraging our students to be independent and confident leaders of the future.
Our Vision
At Whizzkidz Academy, we believe that students should be provided with a holistic approach to learning. This includes specialized individual education and personalised care and attention. With the continued support of our pre-school parents and over 25 years of mastering our approach to our pre-school, we embarked on the Primary school venture. Whizzkidz Academy was then established as of January 2017, and grew into a fully independent private primary school. Whizzkidz Academy delivers a blended learning platform incorporating online learning and classroom teaching.

Our teachers and staff all work hard to maintain a safe and happy school environment where children are encouraged to become enthusiastic and lifelong learners.

Our Faculty
We pride ourselves in securing qualified & experienced teachers both in the Montessori fraternity as well as B.Ed qualified staff whom are fully trained in first aid trained as well. Our assistant teachers have also received the necessary training & skills to assist teachers in each class. Our staff compliment consists of over 20 teachers for both the Pre-primary & Primary section of our Academy as well as a security guard and care-taker. We ensure consistency with our teachers in order to prevent potential teaching disruptions within our learning programs.
Our Covid-19 Strategy
On the 18th of March 2020 our country declared a state of National disaster due to the Covid-19 Pandemic as we were confronted by the gravest crisis of our times. This forced us to mobilize the situation and implement a risk adjusted strategy for our environment. We have thus taken precautionary measure to ensure all protocols and measures are adequately in place as listed below:

All classes and outdoor environments accommodate special social distancing measures with demarcation throughout the school

A platooned time table attendance has been considered to accommodate all our grades and learners safely attending school

Sanitizer Stations are present in all classes, including a Medical approved Sani Pod that has been installed in both our Pre & Primary School premises

Every hour all classes are sanitized by the Staff Officials and a further deep clean by an external Service Provider occurs once a month

It is mandatory that upon entry the school premises all students, staff personnel and visitors are screened and follow the necessary Questioners in place

It is compulsory for all students to exercise caution daily and wear their own Mask & shield at school

In the unfortunate event of our school facing a “Covid-Case“ we will advise the necessary School and Health Departments. The School will subsequently isolate the problem and be able trace infectious spreading as we have minimal daily student attendance due to the phased in timetable approach implemented. Our school will thereafter close for a prescribed period and undergo a “deep clean” disinfectant & decontamination process. All necessary infected persons will be requested to adhere to a 14 day self-isolation & quarantine period.
